The cousins have worked all week building a fire pit for campfires on the mountain behind Grandma and Grandpa's house. Complete with decorated rocks and carved walking sticks. Tonight their efforts have paid off with a cookout, smores, and stories.
Hotdog roasting lessons from Grandpa.
Ready for the marshmallows. It's funny how the fire calms and mesmerizes tired kiddos.
"Um, My belly is too full of hotdog. Can I save this sticky smore for tomorrow."
After the food was done Aly played the guitar. This morphed into background music for scary stories. The kids did such a good job that they scared themselves into camping in the house.
